BYREDO – COTTON POPLIN

BYREDO COTTON POPLIN CANDLE

I’ll be the first to admit that I can be a bit of a blogger cliché and that definitely involves loving a good candle. As a blogger, I’m prone to taking a million photos at mealtimes, the inability to walk past a colourful wall without getting a quick photo, going to good coffee shops because A) they do great coffee and B) the coffee art is worth a quick instagram if anything. I love my Monica Vinader jewellery and have also succumbed to owning fancy brass scissors despite the cheap £2 ones that I already own, still do the best job – they look good for flatlays okay?

I could go on but let’s talk about candles – the perfect desk accompaniment when we’re all blogging away on our MacBooks. I don’t own any Diptique candles and really want to try the pink Overrose candles but my current favourite is from Byredo. Byredo do my favourite scent and their Cotton Poplin candle is awesome.

I’m all about fresh, light and clean scents and Cotton Poplin is the one. With a base note of sweet musk, heart notes of linen, white cedarwood and top notes of blue chamomile, it’s the ideal scented candle without being too overbearing – for me, it’s all about subtle scents. Mine is a limited edition one in the yellow glass (usually black wax and glass) and it was a fancy birthday treat last year.  I love a good candle for winding down after a day at work, for chilled out weekends or for moments like now, when I am about to settle in for an hour of photo editing for the next post!
