At the moment of this post going live, I will be mid-flight and on my way to Barcelona for a few days, woo hoo! I’m so glad that I am escaping the grey weather especially now that we have officially entered Winter and the days are darker again. This little escape means taking a break with some of my best friends AND I get to wear these awesome sunnies some more.
I bought these sunglasses at Gentle Monster in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The brand have been on my radar for a while and I’ve seen many a Korean Celeb wear them but if you’re unfamiliar with the name, they’re a designer brand from Korea with the coolest unique concept stores. Not one of the stores are alike and the Causeway Bay store is designed like an old school train carriage. My friend Sam took me to the store and I marveled at the amazing visual merchandising and awesome frames and knew I had to return with my sister who is a bit of a sunglasses fiend. The devil on my shoulder kind of knew what the outcome would be and we both agreed that we needed to treat ourselves to some new shades. Bit of an expensive last minute purchase but so worth it. Harvey Nichols have just started stocking the brand and they’re worth checking out!
Those Gentle Monster sunglasses are the comfiest sunnies I’ve ever purchased. Maybe it’s because they are a Korean brand and might benefit Asian faces a bit more (i.e. our lack of bridge) and they actually stay on my face without sliding down. They’re awesome and I can’t wait to wear them this week in Barcelona. I’ll definitely be sharing as much as I can over on Instagram – see you there!
