I’m back with a colourful post and the blog titled inspired by a little Karoline Rerrie print that I bought recently (see here!) because we all need a little sunshine in our lives everyday right? I’m generally a really positive and carefree person and I find it really easy to switch off from things that bother me. Maybe it’s a mixture of being easily distracted and bottling things up but every once in a while the anxieties can get the better of me. Sometimes we need a reminder that things are never as rubbish as they seem or that we need to make changes to make ourselves happy and my shiny new print reminds me every day! It seems apt to name this post the same as my print because it’s so bright, happy and zingy. Though the bright yellow tones of these photos was SUCH a nightmare to edit!
Okay, so let’s talk about this outfit. I took a massive risk and splurged on these amazing navy Whistles culottes and then somewhat foolishly altered them myself as I refused to spend money on a tailor. Armed with a little wonder web and my little sewing kit one evening, I gave it a go. Between you and me, I was really quite nervous cutting off a good 5 inches off them since they were so expensive but luckily they turned out ok! I’m wearing jeans a lot less these days and opting for trousers more as they are super comfy. Plus they look good with fun tees at the weekend or with a smart blouse for work. For someone who last wore trousers at school and when I worked in retail, it’s a game changer and I am loving it.
