After a week of non stop rain, I’m so pleased that the sun has returned! The rain may have affected my blogging mojo as days of torrential rain just made me feel a little demotivated and PJs, Steaming hot cups of tea and catching up on TV shows (OITNB!) seem far more attractive. I had a moment of excitement when I got to wear a new rain mac but this was short-lived because well, rain.
However, now that the warmer weather has returned and everyone at work seems to be taking turns to go on holiday, my mind is definitely switched back to Summer mode! I can wear floaty skirts and forget about tights and Winter boots for now – yay! I’m even foraying into the world of culottes and wide legged cropped trousers, paired with some trusty Stan Smiths of course. This particular skirt from & Other Stories is one of my favourites, it’s sooo comfy and floaty. Perfect with little flats like these.
Since my holidays are not too far away now, I spend a lot of my days with my mind elsewhere, somewhere on Hong Kong Island; sipping milk tea, hearing the tick tick of the pedestrian crossings and topping up my Octopus card at the local Circle K or 7 Eleven and making lists on my phone of beauty supplies/treats I need to stock up on! I can’t wait to just slot seamlessly back into life in another city on the other side of the world. Despite going back all the time, it’s still pretty exciting.
Before all that happens though, I’m looking forward to popping into London this weekend to see some of my favourite girls, Michelle, Mandy and Zoe. Let the good food and epic (window) shopping commence!
