DREAMING OF PASTELS

Avenue1I’ve taken photos of candy coloured houses for as long as I can remember. I remember thinking my friend’s pink flatshare in Chalk Farm from years ago was just a giant Fondant Fancy. This was made even better when I discovered she actually had a Fondant Fancy birthday cake ready for her birthday! See here for my ancient post – cringe, my writing/blog style was so really different back then!

The obsession with pretty houses definitely continues into the present day. I can’t resist getting my camera out or grabbing my phone for a quick snap. There are so many pastel coloured houses in London and I found myself down this quiet little Avenue in Chelsea and of course a few hundred photos were taken for the ol’ blog.

If it’s not people getting in outfit shots, it’s always pigeons which explains the surprised face! Isn’t this the prettiest street though? I spied a vacant terraced house up for sale  (the yellow door below) and later found it in the window of an estate agents for a cool £2.5 million. Yeah – not in this lifetime!

Hope everyone is looking forward to the long weekend! We’re so spoilt when it comes to May with two bank holidays this month. I’m counting down the days to a long weekend of catching up with friends and family, maybe a spot of shopping and definitely eating plenty of food. So excited!
