Time for a beauty post! My favourite brand I am lusting over right now is Saint Laurent (maybe I’ll get this bag next year if I save hard enough) but right now, all I can afford is YSL in make up form. I’ve seen some reviews for YSL’s Touche Eclat Blur Perfector and I was impressed with it when I tried it out in store. I’ve seen it floating around on the internet for a little while and I’m pretty intrigued with its balm to powder formula. The product in the pan is a rosy-pink colour and pretty matt when it’s applied to the skin.
The balm is meant to be the beauty equivalent to an instagram filter and provides a ‘blurring rosy glow’ effect. It’s great for reducing shine but the balm formulation is something I am still getting to grips with. I’m just so used to powder and in a way and it’s weird putting something of a balm consistency on the skin. However the plus side is that you won’t get that dry effect that powder can often cause! I used it this weekend for my friend’s wedding and it worked a charm, especially as I was a bridesmaid (post coming soon!) and there were so many photos taken. The packaging is really quite beautiful and my only gripe is that the sponge is separate and doesn’t fit into the case. Since it’s a balm, the sponge will probably get pretty grubby so using a clean applicator is a must!
