ONE SUNNY DAY

COVER
When I started blogging, it was to document all things that happened in my life so that friends and family could log on from wherever they are and see what I was up to. I know a lot of blogs veer away from these things these days but I couldn’t share pics of my friend’s hen do and then not show you pictures from the actual wedding day! So without further ado, let me show you a glimpse into Katie’s wedding….
WEDDINGTIME
The day of the wedding couldn’t have been more perfect as it was one of the warmest, sunniest weekends we’ve had in the UK by far. Katie has always been infectiously optimistic and happy growing up and I am sure that her positive vibes brought out the sun, just like her hen weekend! The happy couple exchanged their vows at the beautiful St Alphege Church which is the local church in our home town. Surprisingly, I think this was the first church wedding I’ve ever been to and it was just lovely and super colourful.

After the ceremony, plenty of confetti was thrown and then they were whisked away to the reception venue in an amazing, bright orange Volkswagen camper van. Isn’t it the coolest?

COUNTRYSIDE VIEW
The venue, was just a short drive away and I always forget just how close to the countryside I am. We were greeted with rolling hills dotted with sheep and cows, it was so picturesque and extremely desktop wallpaper worthy…

FESTIVAL BANDS
Colour was the main theme of the wedding and there were plenty of wedding festival wristbands (such a cool idea!), endless homemade bunting and a huge tissue paper flower garland.

FLOWERS AT HOME

Katie’s mum let my friend’s and I take away some of the flowers from the table arrangements and now I will forever have a blue bucket and a painted pebble as little keepsakes. The pebbles were collected from the beach near the couple’s home in Worthing and the calligraphy were all done by Katie’s dad – I’m guessing, he may never want to look at another pebble ever again! It was an unforgettable and perfect day for Katie and Tom – congrats again guys!!
