I am a sucker for cute snacks and of course, when my family visit HK, they always bring back some essential treats. Among some of the things include Chinese pastries and cookies, traditional candy (Dragon Beard Candy/龍鬚糖) and my absolute favourite green tea Kit Kats (they were pretty hard to track down!). The novelty magnets are really cute and my dad was very pleased with his kitschy purchase! The magnets are miniature versions of some of his favourite foods in the form of Congee with Century egg, noodles and of course more Chinese pastries and now proudly placed on the fridge. It makes me laugh because I’ve reapplied that my dad likes kitsch just as much as me (or maybe that’s where I get it from) and approved of my Kate Spade Tumbler purchase!
Packed along with the treats was this Missha Complexion Co-ordinating BB Cream which my beauty/skincare loving aunt sent me. The BB cream is essentially a CC cream as it’s meant to match your skin tone upon application. My favourite thing about this is the high SPF. It’s totally normal to wear SPF 50 in Asia and that’s the mentality that I’ve grown up with too. Otherwise, it isn’t really anything special – it evens out skin tone, brightens and protects but I’m not convinced it works well with my combination skin as my skin sometimes feels a little too oily and I’d rather reach for my other BB creams. On a related note, I’ve recently changed up my skin care routine so after I’ve given it a couple more weeks with my new products, I’ll write a post on skin care!
