Let’s dance

I can’t believe that the weekend has come around so quickly. Here is a photo diary of some of the things I got up last weekend when I went to visit my friend in London. It’s become a bit of a regular fixture in my diary…and it’s nice to escape from one city to another!

We went to Kokos for the Patrick Wolf gig on the Friday night and a good old dance. He was brilliant and Koko’s is an awesome venue.

We went to the Design Museum on the Saturday for the Chalayan exhibition. It was a fantastic exhibition and I may have to dedicate an entire post on it as I have so many more photos I want to share!

I missed the Viktor and Rolf exhibition when it was at Somerset house. So I was so pleased to see a few of them displayed in the ‘Design Awards 09 exhibition’ upstairs.

I also spotted some Basso and Brooke Shoes and that Lanvin dress.

Later that day we walked along the South bank, it was such a lovely day. My friend works in Westminster so it was nice to hear about all the different buildings associated with Parliament. I couldn’t resist snapping these landmarks…even though I’ve seen them countless times before, they never get boring.

On Sunday we went to Brick Lane to browse the shops and Spitalfields markets. It was another gorgeous day which brought the crowds…I’ve never seen it so busy before! On the right, my friend randomly found ‘I H8 £’ twisted into the metal cage on the window of a derelict shop…in times of such uncertain financial climes I thought its rather fitting.

My friend raves about this Bagel shop which is always super busy and is a bit of a legend down Brick Lane. I had yummy Salmon and Cream cheese bagel for only £1.50. Amazing and so so cheap!

The Laden Showroom is always worth a browse and Beyond Retro is always fun too. My friend bought the most amazing red skirt with crocodiles printed on it from BR (the style was similar to the AA Melange skirt) but a bargain at only £10. I should have taken a photo! I bought a few things which you will all see soon enough on this blog!

Hope you enjoyed the photos!

PS) My friend introduced me to Spotify the other day and I love it. It’s so great being able to stream music and whole albums without any delays!
