Alexander McQueen SS13 : Out of this World!

It's been a long time coming but here are my pictures from the McQueen press day that I attended a little while ago. I actually took a million photos so I'll keep Menswear and Accessories for another post, because the sheer amount of detail is mind blowing and I'd hate for some pieces to get lost in one super photo-heavy post. So without further ado....

The Honeycomb theme is so strikingly beautiful and my photos don't do justice at all to the painstaking detail that goes into the making of these amazing pieces. To me, they're not just high fashion Haute Couture, they are pretty serious contenders as pieces of Art in themselves! This is probably reflected in the fact that I walked around in awe as if I was in a Fashion Exhibition...but then the realisation set in that I was in a showroom and I could touch everything (including those little jewelled bees) excellent!

  2. Oh my gosh, it must feel really surreal to wear one of these beautiful dresses! That also makes me wonder about A-list celebrities that show up on the red carpet wearing less than amazing pieces they have full-access to. Anyway, I can be on this tangent forever. Thanks for sharing the photos, Winnie!
