It seems like ages ago since my last outfit post but I'm back with an old favourite and some new ones too. Unlike some people who buy a new Winter coat every year, I have a hard time buying coats and own just one warm jacket and one warm coat. I'm definitely a firm believer in as long as you choose wisely, the garment will serve you many many many years!
This is definitely one of them and if you're long time readers, it's the only real coat you've ever seen me in! I'll probably wear it until I'm old and grey haha. OK maybe I'll HAVE to buy a few more coats by then...

It's also definitely time for 100 denier thick cotton tights...and what better than to team them up with some new shoes? I bought these booties in the sale over at Urban Outfitters (you can still buy them here) and I adore them! They have really great grip on the rubber sole. So at least my mother can't complain but then again she's always pestering me to wear heels because I'm so short. Unfortunately my 13yr old sister is now my height and still growing. Nooo.

Oh lastly, I bought a ring from the newly opened Forever 21 store in Birmingham where I bumped into fellow blogger Sandra! Sometimes when you're out and about you forget that you're a blogger...it's like some kind of secret alter ego.

The Forever 21 store is humungus which is kind of an understatement. It feels like a department store. When I visited one of their stores in New York a few Summers ago, I thought it seemed a little like New Look except less trend led. Now that it's in the UK, I still feel the same, except with wayyyy more product. Since it's so big, It's the type of store I would go to with a specific item in mind, because it would take HOURS to browse. Price-wise, at first things seem really cheap but the longer you spend in there the less noticeable it is! Verdict? It's most certainly fast fashion when we're talking about quality which is no real surprise but I'm also glad that there is even more choice on the high street!

I'm desperate to go to f21!! I was thinking about asking you if you'd been yet because I was wearing a skirt that I got in the NY one last night and I know you're not far from it. I'm like you when it comes to winter coats it took me forever to find one I like! I have one and I love it and I don't even want to attempt to look for another after all the trauma I went throgh finding the first one. One is all I need!

I love those boots - I lvoe high heeled anything, but finding heels with grip for the snow is so tricky! These look like the perfect solution!

I have my old faithful coat too but I think it's dying slowly :( Otherwise, I *LOVE* your outfit- too bad this word is overused by people trying to plug their blog, but this is actually how I feel about it, the dress is really nice, especially in the close up picture- I love the plead(t?)ing on it, and the boots look snow resistant yet pretty!

what a cute ring! I have checked out 3 of their F21 stores in Tokyo.. the best one is in Ginza - do check it out if you get the chance but i guess there isnt any point if there's a massive one in brum. I'm still gonna check it out :D i know what you mean about the size! all the f21 in tokyo take upto 5-6 floors. its ridiculous! hahah... unfortunately i havent spotted anything i like...as much as i want to like it the quality puts me off from it :( I loveee your ring though. i think the accessories part is one the best thing about this brand!

Very excited for my visit now and to relive the NYC times, will most likely be stocking up on their jewellery as it's decently priced. I definitely agree about the secret blogger alter ego, it's now such a large part of my life, which I'm beginning to explain to more friends. Love those boots too, such a worthy investment and with a coat like that, I wouldn't need any others!

I noticed on their website that they have a line called twelevextwelve which is similar to Topshop Unique (slightly!). When I go to an actual branch of Forever21 I can't find this line anywhere. I think for some odd reason they decided not to include it in their Canadian stores.
The only thing other than that that I like would be the T-shirt
collaborations that they do like, Danny Roberts blogger illustration T's and after that Brian Lichtenberg T's.
As for the quality it's the cheapest I have ever seen. The prices are cheap to match but it's a false economy scenario.
That ring is so gorgeous and your boots are really cool too, love the pink cardigan as well, the length is brilliant for the weather right now. xxx
