It's been a while guys! I've finally finished my dissertation (it's due to be printed and bound tomorrow morning) and I can finally get back into the blogging routine.

Cardi (Topshop) Top (Oasis) Skirt (Miss Selfridge) Belt (Vintage) Shoes (TopShop) Earrings (Random gift shop)
So it seems that my cardigan is getting a bit bobbly, a sign that it's well worn I guess. I'm planning on doing some shopping after I've handed everything in tomorrow. Unfortunately my student card ran out yesterday!! I guess this means I am going to be extra nice to friends who are still students...
Anyway, now that I'm free, I'm going to finish reading Murakami's A Wild Sheep Chase. Which reminds me that the movie adaption of his novel, Norweigan Wood is going to be out this year...in Japan. Unfortunately this means nothing to me, as the UK probably won't show it until the year after (I'll find it somewhere I'm sure!) However I found out that ViVi model, Kiko Mizuhara is making her debut as an actress in the movie!

The trailer was pointed out to me by fellow Murakami fan, Rachel from Leopard print and Lace.
If you haven't seen the trailer for it or you're intrigued, here it is, enjoy!

I love turquoise! And somehow; your gorgeous vintage belt reminds me of something similar in The Devil Wears Prada (When Anne H. was sniggering at the run through!)
ReplyDeleteAnd Murakami is going to be an actress?! That's awesome! Can't wait to see the trailer when I'm home!
OH my goshhhhh!!!!!!!!! ahhh!!! I adoreeee haruki murakami and I've read Norwegian wood and truly I can imagine it adapting so beautifully to screen. wow. this will give me chills to see. thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is just gorgeous. The colours and prints, textures just go so well together. I love your belt!
ReplyDeleteI have never read murakami's book I'll have to look into it. The vivi model is pretty, it's pretty common for japanese model to turn actresses over here. Would love to see the movie adaptation, I've heard so much about the book! Shame it'll be all in Japanese! Wished there'd be subtitles lol.
oh yeah handing in time :P must be a weight off your shoulder's, oh I do miss student discount. I love this outfit Winnie the shoes are just so cute and that belt is just lush xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI really like your shoes with the bows ~ I can never resist bows but add a dash of red and they are perfect! >w<
ReplyDeletexox,

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing your dissertation! That must feel like a weight has been lifted! My student card doesn't have an expiry date on it so as long as I show it with my still valid railcard, the 10% is all mine! :) x

This is such a nice outfit, I especially love your shoes and belt, you always have such great accessories! I'm ashamed to say I've never read any murakami, at least I've got plenty of time to get round to reading norwegian wood before the film version comes out in the UK I guess! I've just finished the remains of the day by kazuo ishiguro, there's a film version of it coming out near christmas with keira knightley and carey mulligan, whichI'm pretty excited about! xx
ReplyDeleteI hope this finds you doing well. I've had a rough week. I got laid off on Tuesday. Now I have to find a new job in such a bad economy. Wish me luck. Thanks. Take care. Enjoy the upcoming weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell done on finally finishing! I'm almostalmost done!

ReplyDeleteI've actually just finished reading Wild Sheep Chase and I didn't like it as much as the other Murakami novels I've read, it was just very slow paced and odd.
ReplyDeleteI loved Norweigan Wood though so sad I probably won't get to see it though :(

i like how you style your outfits, very flattering for your body figure. most women would starve themselves to be skinny so that they could look like all those supermodels, while you most luckily see your potentials. i think i just become one of your fan. :p
