Nautical is pretty rife on the high street at the moment with plenty of anchor prints and Breton stripes to splurge on. The Nautical look insists on returning every year (whether you like it or not!) but it does mean that it's much easier to avoid buying more nautical inspired goodies, when you have things in your wardrobe from the years before. It's almost impossible to not look nautical when you combine the colours of blue, white and red.

As it's Chinese New Year this weekend, it's Chinese tradition to buy new clothes to wear on New Years Day (Sunday 14th) and it seems like the perfect excuse for a bit of retail therapy. Even if it isn't always kind to my bank balance, but hey, this is one tradition that I'm going to keep!
My friend Carly walked into New Look a few days ago and as a treat to herself she splurged. Not on one dress, or two, or three. It was in fact, Seven! She even triumphantly sent me a photo. I enviously stared at all her beautiful new dresses, such lovely prints for Spring Summer!

Speaking of New Look, here are some of my favourite images from their SS10 lookbook. I'd already seen most of these things at the Paris Press Day last year.
I adore the little red skirt and will be looking for that when it hits stores as well as this gorgeous little lace blazer. I cannot wait for warmer weather so I can wear these without throwing on a coat over the top!

As I recall, the bows and polkadots were from the Cupcake Collection and polka dots are everywhere at the moment, it's hard not to nice them. All the high street stores have cute heart/bow/polkadot prints in stock at the moment and I love it.
