My friend Amy is studying a research masters (mphil) in Art History at the moment and part of the course culminates in a postgraduate exhibition. I'm off to the private view for this and cannot wait to see how it all turned out. Plus it will be awesome to be back in my old department and seeing all the familiar faces.
This is what I chose to wear in the end.

Blazer (Zara) Dress (Mina uk) Belt (River Island) Oxfords (Topshop) Bag (Zara clutch with added chains)
The dress was bought about 6 months ago. I've never worn it until today! I think it is because it's so flowery and girly but the belt helps to toughen it up, as does the blazer and bag. I bought it when I went to visit my sister in Liverpool from a gorgeous little shop called Boudoir Boutique. I'm sure we all have pieces in our wardrobe that have remained unworn. Well for me, this dress has definitely come out of hiding!I apologise for being so slow on commenting back lately. The good weather we have been having has been keeping me away from my laptop. Now that the sky is overcast again...it seems I will be back on track to visit your blogs!

Right you are: The florals and studs create a great balance of girly and tough.
ReplyDeleteI love your belt. I have a couple of things at the back of my wardrobe that I thought i'd take up or shrink into but never have. After exams I may get on that actually. I just forget about them, or i'm too lazy!
